Twice a year, our team at Gracious Home Interiors takes a trip to High Point Market—the mecca of home furnishings and design inspiration. Spring 2025 did not disappoint. The showrooms were brimming with bold ideas and tactile beauty, giving us fresh perspectives and design direction that we’re already weaving into our work and client projects.
This market wasn’t about maximalism or shock value but about meaningful design. We saw a return to earthy, grounded palettes and a continued appreciation for craftsmanship and curves. Below, we share our biggest takeaways from this season’s market, from rich color stories to awe-inspiring lighting and furniture forms.
The color palette at this spring’s market was unmistakable—deeply rooted in nature. We saw a resurgence of browns, rusts, deep reds, burnt oranges, and moody greens. These rich, cozy hues were woven throughout upholstery, accent pieces, cabinetry, and even lighting.
There’s a clear move away from the cool grays and whites that dominated for years. Instead, these warm colors evoke a sense of connection and calm. Brown, especially, is having a major moment. From chocolate leather armchairs to clay-toned boucles, brown was used as a neutral statement.
This shift in tone isn’t just visual—it’s emotional. These colors make a home feel lived-in and loved. Whether it was a terracotta velvet sectional or a mossy green ceramic lamp, the colors this season feel timeless yet fresh, and we’re here for it.
Lighting continues to be one of the most expressive elements of interior design—and High Point proved that even more so this season. Sculptural chandeliers and pendants with bold, unexpected forms were a major theme, and one piece we couldn’t take our eyes off was the Collier 108 Chandelier by Visual Comfort.
This chandelier is the definition of statement lighting. Its elongated profile and fluid silhouette bring drama in the most refined way. The Collier evokes a quiet luxury—it’s not flashy, but it certainly stops you in your tracks.
Across the showrooms, we saw lighting fixtures that played with asymmetry, organic curves, and mixed materials. Rattan-wrapped bases, plaster finishes, hand-blown glass globes, and twisted metal arms created a sense of artistry and individuality. This spring, lighting isn’t just a functional element—it’s a sculptural centerpiece.
One of the most inspiring trends we saw this market was the prevalence of organic shapes and rounded forms in furniture, lighting, and accessories. Angular minimalism is giving way to more fluid silhouettes that embrace softness and comfort.
A perfect example? The Sophiene Lounge Chair from Sunpan. With its exaggerated curves, barrel-back silhouette, and generous proportions, it’s more than just a chair—it’s an invitation to relax. The shape cradles you, the scale envelopes you and the design makes a subtle but bold statement.
Chairs, sofas, and tables all leaned into this softened geometry. Even case goods like sideboards and dressers featured rounded corners, arched drawer faces, and sculptural bases. These shapes feel both luxurious and approachable—there’s something human about a curve.
This design direction perfectly fits our Gracious Home Interiors philosophy: creating elevated, livable spaces that blend comfort and sophistication.
While we always discover beautiful textiles at market, one collection that truly moves us is the Manchaha Collection by Jaipur Living. It’s not just a rug line—it’s a story of human creativity, sustainability, and freedom of expression.
“Manchaha,” which means “from the heart” in Hindi, is a series of one-of-a-kind rugs designed spontaneously by rural Indian weavers using leftover yarn from the industry. There are no sketches or patterns—just the weaver’s imagination and memory, expressed freely on the loom.
The result? Rugs that feel deeply personal, emotionally resonant, and completely unique. Each one tells a story, often inspired by nature, family, village life, or the weaver’s own dreams. The colors are layered and rich, and the textures have a soulful authenticity you can’t replicate.
These pieces are not just décor—they’re heirlooms. They connect design with purpose and bring a sense of global craftsmanship into the home. We’re thrilled to begin incorporating Manchaha rugs into our upcoming projects and sharing their stories with our clients.
High Point Spring 2025 reminded us why we love what we do. This season’s trends weren’t about fleeting styles or surface-level aesthetics—they were about connection. The warm colors, curved silhouettes, hand-crafted rugs, and sculptural lighting all reflect a deeper desire for comfort, individuality, and intention in our homes.
We came back feeling energized and inspired, with notebooks full of ideas and a camera roll packed with beautiful details we can’t wait to share. As always, we’re already dreaming up new ways to bring these trends to life in our clients’ homes—whether that’s through a custom upholstery palette, an unforgettable light fixture, or a rug woven from memory.
If you’re feeling inspired to bring the best of High Point into your space, we’d love to talk. Our design process always starts with your story, and there are more ways than ever to tell it beautifully.
Until next market,
The Gracious Home Interiors Team
