The Gracious Home Interiors team is a dedicated and passionate group of professionals who share a common goal: transforming spaces into the ultimate design. With years of experience in interior design and a deep understanding of the latest trends, our team approaches each project creatively and enthusiastically. Every space has the potential to become a work of art, reflecting the unique personality and style of our clients.
From concept to execution, our team works collaboratively, ensuring that every detail is thoughtfully considered. With a commitment to excellence and a keen eye for design, we take pride in turning ordinary spaces into extraordinary ones, creating interiors that genuinely resonate with those who live and work in them.
The performing and visual arts have always played a strong role in my life. Having studied from an early age to become a dancer, I spent over 10 years in Ballet companies across America. Although ultimately this was not the career path I selected, it instilled in me a strong sense of discipline, as well as an appreciation for the arts and for the magic the visual realm plays on the psyche and the senses.
Following my time in the dance community, I embarked on a 30-year career with a national major retailer where I created and implemented visual concepts at an organizational level and led a team of over 200 high performing professionals. My time in retail visual merchandising and field leadership was a wonderful and fulfilling career, and then my path took an exciting and unexpected turn. Having staged a few homes for my realtor husband, I started to be asked to design and stage homes for realtors and investors throughout the Charlotte area. With that, Gracious Home Interiors was born.
Since our launch in 2017, Gracious Home Interiors has grown into a full-service interior design firm serving residential, new construction, builder and commercial clients throughout the Charlotte, NC surrounding areas and in multiple states within the US. Our commercial projects span several states and have provided us with a wonderful perspective on adapting our designs to different communities and functional needs.
Although we all have our own personal aesthetic, I believe it is my client’s style and lifestyle that matters most in developing designs that are unique to each client, space and home. No two designs are the same. We truly want to make our designs

Lori Trubinsky
Growing up in a retail family, it was a natural fit for me to pursue a career in home furnishing retail. During the course of my 30-year career, I was able to work with national retailers in specialty, big box and department store formats. Hailing from New York City and having the opportunity to live and work in London, I have developed a global view of interior design, and product sourcing. I had the good fortune in 2020 to start a new chapter in my career. Having worked with Lori, I jumped at the opportunity to join Gracious Home Interiors and put my operational, sourcing and customer service skills to work in the interior design world.
Understanding how to identify a client's style and functional needs is the first step to creating a design that will reflect their goals, as well as stand the test of time. My sourcing experience leads to ensuring that every choice serves the function as well as the style. My global experiences have allowed me to be able to curate diverse styles that help make each Gracious Home Interiors design unique to every client. My operational experience supports my role in ensuring that we deliver flawless execution, taking the stress out of the design process for our clients. The new design process should be inspirational and fun!

With over eighteen years in the home fashion industry, Sarah's journey began with a European kitchen and cabinetry company, where her passion for modern designs was sparked. Her background includes a pivotal role as a Regional Visual Merchandising Manager for a leading retail company. In this capacity, she spearheaded visual executions and orchestrated successful new store openings and remodels across major East Coast cities. Sarah's unique blend of experience and her B.A. in Marketing from Colorado State University includes specialized education in interior design classes. Before transitioning to a career in interior design, her meticulous attention to detail and creative flair, made her the trusted go-to person for friends and family seeking home decoration advice.
As a mother of three, Sarah values the symbiosis of function and beauty in living spaces. She believes homes should be practical and aesthetically pleasing, encouraging comfort and well-thought design. Sarah's design philosophy is modern-eclectic, a fusion of clean lines, intriguing details, and vibrant colors. Whether orchestrating a sleek, sophisticated ambiance or embracing a more traditional feel, Sarah designs distinctive designs tailored to each client's unique style, seamlessly blending her rich background experience with her innate interior design expertise.
